El Potro

Had an amazing experience at El Potro! I ordered the Chicken Fajitas and a Margarita, and both were absolutely perfect. The fajitas were sizzling, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, while the margarita was strong and refreshing—just the way it should be! The service was incredibly fast, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. If you’re in the Opelousas area, this is definitely a spot worth stopping by. Can’t wait to come back!

We decided last minute to eat here and we are very glad we did! We had the half plate of fajita steak nachos and the chicken burrito Guadalajara. Food was fantastic!! The chicken burrito was moist and the spanish rice was really good. The steak fajita nachos we just right. Nice serving of food offered. Prices are very affordable. Not sure why they have somw bad reviews about the food being not so good bc it was very delicious and we will definitely be going back. I am ready to try some other items on the menu. Highly recommend this place! Service was great as well.

While I was on the road, I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I wanted a quick lunch break and this place was perfect. The food comes out quick and hot. Our food was very flavorful and a really good portion. The chips and salsa were fresh and good too. Really good service and restaurant is very clean. Had a good dining experience. If I'm ever around the area I would definitely go back again.

I had never eaten here before, but man was the food good! For me and my family to eat and a pitcher of beer it wad only 60 bucks! That's fast food prices, but with sit down quality and service. Will definitely be back.

Great Mexican restaurant with friendly fast service. We find that their prices and portions are better than most other nearby Mexican restaurants.

Absolutely amazing experience! Staff was super nice! We asked to be seated by the front window so that we could keep an eye on running vehicles (had dogs with us and wanted to run the air conditioning). They offered us the patio to ourselves and allowed us to have the dogs outside with us! Weather was perfect, food was delicious, and staff was super sweet! Couldn't be happier! This will become a routine stop for us. THANKS!!!

I had the pollo asada. Very delicious. Great flavor. Food came out sizzling hot. I would eat here again. Waitress was very nice and kept my glass of tea full. Great price.

Some of the best Mexican food around. The margaritas are delicious and STRONG. The owner and his staff always give the best customer service. I’ve never had a bad meal from here and often host my business meetings here.
